The five day Jaipur Literature Festival, the biggest literary festival in south-Asia came to an end on 28th January, 2013. The festival recorded around 59,000 unique registrations and the number of total footfalls was 1, 25, 000 over the five days. The festival witnessed renowned speakers in the name of Patrick French, Mahasweta Verma, Mohammad Hanif, Ashis Nandy, Ariel Doffman, Ruchir Sharma, Javed Akhtar, Prasoon Joshi, Binayak Sen, Shobha De and many more. Although the festival shared some controversies too but was a great delight for the literature lovers in total.
