Shimla: Himachal cabinet that met with chief minister Virbhadra Singh in the chair set up a sub-committee of three cabinet ministers to formulate guidelines for regulating employee transfers and decided to maintain status quo as it was on October 30, 2007 about teachers appointed in schools by Parent Teachers Associations.
A cabinet spokesman said that the three minister sub-committee would have Kaul Singh, GS Bali and Mukesh Agnihotri on board to frame guidelines for regulating transfers.
The cabinet also created a post of officer on special duty in the chief ministers office and appointed Amit Pal Singh for the position whose term would be on contractual basis and co-terminus with that of the chief minister.
The cabinet also created the post of advisor to chief minister and appointed TG Negi, a retired IAS officer for the position.
The cabinet also decided to hire a MI-172 helicopter for government use from M/s Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd for five years with effect from January 1, 2013 on wet lease basis.
The cabinet decided to abolish the post of Engineer-in-Chief (project) in PWD department but created a post of Engineer-in-Chief (Designs and Quality Control) for a period from 1st January to 30th June 2013.
