Dharamshala: Governor Urmila Singh here today inaugurated a two day long Kangra painting exhibition put up jointly by Kangra Art Promotion Society and Art, Language and Culture, Department.
Lauding the efforts of the organisers she said that efforts should be made to preserve and promote the unique Kangra School of Painting.
The governor commended all the artists who contributed for putting up the exhibition and evinced keen interest in the paintings.
The governor was accompanied by Sudhir Sharma, Urban Development Minister, S Roy, Chief Secretary, Manisha Nanda, Principal Secretary, Art, Language and Culture, Bharat Khera, Secretary, GAD and others.
The Kangra School of Painting is known worldwide for its miniature style of painting with some of the masterpiece adorning galleries of many famous museums around the world.
