Children cook with India’s first master chef

New Delhi: Children aged between six to 10 years Saturday rubbed shoulders with India’s first ‘Master Chef’ winner Pankaj Bhadouria in a cooking workshop here.

The workshop underlined the importance of making healthy eating choices and an active lifestyle, said a statement from life’s DHA, a vitamin manufacturer.

“Parents and children learned how to make yummy, healthy, simple snacks. They also successfully created Delhi’s longest vegetarian sandwich,” it said.

“Eating right from an early age is important for a child’s brain development and also prevents many later-in-life diseases like heart attacks and obesity,” the statement quoted Karuna Chatuverdi, a nutritionist, as saying.
