CPI(M) blames Congress, BJP for unemployment in Himachal

Shimla: Election fever is heating up the environment in the hilly state of Himachal. HILOPA and CPI(M) have started their ‘collective’ election campaign while the ruling party and the Congress Party are still fighting with their old allies.

CPI(M) is contesting assembly elections on 16 constituencies in the state is to release  its  election manifesto tomorrow  but it today released an 18 page ‘Agenda for action to develop the Kasumpti Segment in Shimla’.

Today, CPI(M) Member of Parliament(RS) C.P. Narayanan released  party program to develop Kasumpti assembly segment calling it utterly backward in terms of human development index and basic amenities facing the apathy of both mainstream political parties.

Releasing the party program document Mr. Narayanan said that party has been identifying the basic issues faced by the people in the segment after conducting thorough research   since 2009 and identified each issue that required urgent adressal on the government and people action level.

Stressing at the immediate need of center of higher education in the area he lamented that only 5 percent of the youth were getting higher education due to paucity of education institution as students have to travel to this capital town covering hundreds of kilometers.

The incumbent BJP opened nine degree colleges in state in last five years but none in this segment, he added.

Slamming the ruling BJP and opposition he said, “Congress failed to uplift the segment compared to nearby areas”, he also said that both parties failed to the resolve the basic issues faced by the people.

Party candidate, Dr. Kuldeep Tanwar attributed that his party was fighting the double challenge of feudalisms and obscurism. He said that both the Congress and BJP party were equally responsible for the sad state of affairs in the Kasumpati area.

Party assured to adopt unitary approach from Member of Panchayat to Member of Parliament to develop the area.

He also said that Kasumpati region needs immediate restoration of TD rights, emancipation from wild animal menace and encroachment.

CPI(M) exerts its pressure on ruling system by Parliamentary practice and extra parliamentary means like agitation and people action has proven worth full as it won  the confidence of people begging both top seat in the Shimla Municipal corporation election, he said.
