Chandigarh: Education Minister, Punjab conducted surprise checking in the various Schools of Bathinda, Barnala, Sangrur, and Ajitgarh districts.
The Minister had series of meetings with the District Education authority and instructed them to strictly ensure the cleanliness of the Schools besides ensuring the attendance of the teachers. An official spokesman of the Education Department said that Education Minister today conducted surprise checking in Salabatpura (Bathinda) Govt. High School Cheema-Jodhpur and Senior Secondary School, Dhanola (Barnala), Sr. Secondary School Phaguwala (Sangrur) and Govt. High School Ladran (Ajitgarh).
The Education Minister enquired about the problems and grievances of the teachers. He also persuaded them to be a role model for the students and to be punctual in their duties. He asked the teachers to make efforts to uplift the standard of education in the Govt. Schools.
Minister specially stressed on the need of health and hygiene of the students and asked the school authority to keep their respective school premises neat and tidy. Minister has also taken into stock the problems of the students and he exhorted the students to plant more and more plants to preserve the environment for better future.
