Islamabad: A Pakistani airliner with 127 passengers on board reportedly crashed near Chaklala airbase in the garrison town of Rawalpindi Friday, Geo News reported.
The plane belonged to the Karachi-based Bhoja Airline.
According to sources, the Boeing 737 with 127 passengers on board, which flew from Karachi at 5.00 p.m., was supposed to land in Islamabad at 6.40 p.m. but crashed just before touchdown.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) confirmed the crash report and said rescue teams had rushed to the accident site.
