Blustery spring day in Himachal

Shimla : Strong winds blew across Himachal Pradesh slightly cooling down the hills on Tuesday .

For the past few days the state capital Shimla has been recording temperatures 5 to 9 notches above normal .

The strong winds brought with it dust and haze . The town recorded a maximum temperature of 22.6 C some seven notches above normal .

Hoardings were blown away at several places in Shimla , while reports of trees being uprooted were received from many places in the state particularly in Chamba district bordering Jammu & Kashmir .

Higher reaches of Lahaul & Spiti and Kinnaur received light snowfall .
