Amway triples output at Himachal plant

Shimla : Amway India Enterprises has tripled production capacities at its leading vendor facility in Baddi , Himachal Pradesh , taking the total investment in this plant now to Rs 105 crore .

Speaking about the business growth Bhuvan Kapur , vice president (north) said the company has recorded a business of Rs 493 crore in northern region in 2011 .

Speaking about the upward growth Kapur said nationally the company has clocked Rs 2130 crore turnover which is a growth of 19 per cent in 2011 over the previous year when it was Rs 1790 crore .

The company now claims to rank eleventh among the top FMCG companies in India . The company has 34 offices and 20 warehouses in the northern region . Almost all its products sold in India are produced locally .
