New Delhi : Japanese electronics giant Sony today launched two tablets ,Tablet S and Tablet P in the Indian market, priced at Rs.29,990 and Rs.36,990 respectively.
However, only the Wi-Fi enabled version of the tablets is currently available. The devices with both 3G and Wi-Fi access will be available from mid-January.
Sony has priced its tablets a tad below major players like Apple iPad and Samsung Galaxy.
The two tablets, that are of wedge shape and clamshell design, are enabled with a DLNS technology or the throw and share feature which enables the user to connect the tablet to other devices which are not necessarily Sony products.
The company has also collaborated with content providers and offers applications like Big Flix and Meragana.com among others on its tablets.
Sony plans to spend Rs.10 crore in the next quarter through TV commercials, outdoor publicity and the Internet .

I played with Sony Tablet S yesterday and I liked the new design and it’s light weight….Though the plastic body was little disappointing but I guess it’s worth as it was to keep the weight low…
