Shimla : It was a cold and partly cloudy day in Shimla Thursday with the maximum temperature settling at 14.5 C .
But on Wednesday the state capital had seen a warm day with mercury rising to 22.9 C , around 10 C above normal . But the temperature dropped in the night to 6.2 C.
A fresh western disturbance is starting to build up over Pakistan which will affect the western Himalayan region including Himachal Pradesh , Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir , the weather man said .
