BSP to go it alone in Punjab elections

Chandigarh: Putting to rest all speculations about entering the electoral fray in a pre-poll alliance, Bhaujan Samaj Party (BSP) today announced here that it would go it alone in Punjab elections.

More than announcing its intentions of the elections Narender Kashyap, BSP general secretary also released a list of 90 candidates entering the poll fray on a BSP ticket.

Candidates for the remaining 27 seats would be announced soon, he said.

We have not met Manpreet Singh Badal and neither did he meet us about having a pre-poll alliance,” said Kashyap.

Other than a former MP, the others would be entering the electoral arena for the first time.
