All US troops will pull out of Iraq by the end of this year, President Barack Obama announced Friday .
Almost nine years ago President George W Bush had ordered the invasion of Iraq . Until 2008 there were 165,000 US troops in Iraq , currently the strength is 39,000 ,they will all withdraw by the end of 2011 .
Obama said both the US and Iraq had agreed to take this decision jointly .
