Patiala: Khalistan Tiger Force, a Sikh separatist outfit, has laid claim to the seized car heavily laden with explosive that was found abandoned at a parking lot in Ambala on October 12.
An KTF released disclosed that the car with 5 Kg of highly explosive material RDX was being taken to Delhi. Senior congress leader, Sajjan Kumar, an accused in 1984 anti-Sikh riots, is claimed to have been the target.
The press release by the separatist outfit was received by a journalist working with a vernacular daily on October 24. Police, however, are suspicious about the claim.
We are trying to ascertain who actually was responsible for issuing the release as investigations about the origins of the explosives is going on, said a police spokesman.
