As long as people think it is “police responsibility” alone to thwart bomb blasts, many more are waiting for us all. Either you have a policeman and CCTV camera installed at every nook and corner and gate and gali of this country, or, each one does his/her own bit, be just watchful for the suspicious then we might never need a camera everywhere and police to be omnipresent. Sadly, even Ivan Pavlov’s dog’s respond more creatively than the state machinery, which always fails to exhort and educate people to cooperate with the police. Unless that happens, we live from disaster to disaster, blast to blast, and compensation to compensation. Bomb fodders we are, aren’t we?
