Himachal tourism starts seven new monsoon packages

Shimla : To attract more tourists during the tourist lean rainy season from all over the country the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation(HPTDC) has floated seven special packages to raise occupancy in its hotels across the state.

“These packages are between two to four days long and concentrate in and around Shimla,Manali,Dharamsala,the pilgrimage circuit of lower Himachal and also the art circuit of Naggar among other places,” said Vineet Kumar MD, HPTDC here.

“These packages have been started on public demand and will be available till Sept 14, this year,” he said.

“They include local transport, river rafting, trekking and para-gliding.Guests will be charged a consolidated amount for stay,food,sightseeing,activities and transport,” the MD said.

These offers have been made flexible and guests can make changes in the number of days and other activities, calculating and redrafting it accordingly.

Such combi packages have been introduced for the first time by HPTDC.Earlier packages included only boarding and lodging.

The state run company had also floated prime time packages during the busy summer season from 1 April to 30 June.
