Shimla: Police late on Wednesday arrested three persons in connection with used forged signatures to getting a transfer approved from the chief minister office.
SP Shimla Sonal Agnihotri said that with the arrest of Man Singh, a peon in the chief minister office, a breakthrough had been made in a case of using forged signatures to get transfers of employees executed.
Based on a complaint lodged by Arun Sharma, private sectary to the chief minister, a forgery case was lodged after a recommendation letter from Roop Singh, a former MLA from Sirmaur, for seeking a transfer of a teacher was suspected to be a dubious document.
Besides the peon, Kishori Lal, a superintendent in the CM office and a former employee Padam Singh have been arrested in the forgery case, said Agnihotri.
