The weatherman today forecast heavy rainfall and hailstorms across some parts of Himachal Pradesh for the next couple of days.
Windspeeds could reach upto 50 km per hour in isolated places of Shimla,Kullu,Kangra,Mandi and Chamba districts, the weather bulletin said.
â€œThe wet weather spell caused by the fresh western disturbance is likely to last between June 1 to June 3,â€ said Manmohan Singh,Director of the Indian Metrological Department here.
The state capital Shimla experienced rainfall in the forenoon today causing the mercury to drop by several notches.The maximum temperature was 20C here.
In the last couple of months the state has experienced severe hailstorm spells at many places, causing huge loss to crops and property, uprooting huge trees and blowing away roofs at many places.
