Shimla: Two persons, a zila parishad member and his wife, died in a car accident near Rohru while their son sustained severe injuries, district officials informed.
Travelling in a newly acquired car, Ramlal Resta (47), who himself was driving the vehicle lost control when he was about to reach Rohru. The car went off the road at Pauritaal at about 10 p.m. and rolled into the valley for about 200 feet.
Both Ramlal and his Usha Devi died on the spot and their son Hemander is grievously injured, said Onkar Sharma, deputy commissioner Shimla. After providing first aid at Rohru the injured boy has been shifted to IGMC hospital in Shimla, he added.
There were only three persons in the vehicle. They were travelling from Shimla to their native village in Rohru.
