The state capital Shimla on Wednesday experienced the warmest day of the season so far with the mercury crossing the 28 C mark,while the minimum was 16 C here.
Even Kalpa in tribal Kinnaur had a warm day recording a maximum of 22 C.
In the lower hills of Himachal Pradesh the mercury soared to 42.2 C in Una town.
In Sundernagar the temperature crossed 37 C.While in the mid hills it was 34 C in Solan.In Dharamsala the seat of the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama the maximum temperature rose to 33.4 C,the weather man said.
