Taxi driver found murdered in car

Shimla: Police stumbled upon a blind murder by finding one person chained and dead in a car in the outskirts of the city on Monday.

Superintendent Police (SP) Sonal Agnihotri said that on receiving information, a police team at about 9 a.m. in the morning came across the Alto car in which one person was found dead and chained to the driver’s seat at Pujarli village.

The person was identified as Chaman Lal (33), a resident of Baghi in Shimla district and was working as a taxi driver.

The body which had head injuries has been handed over for a post mortem. Other than finger prints, we are still in the process of collecting other clues and making a background check about the victims whereabouts before his murder, said SK Chandel, the investigating officer in the case.
