Shimla: Hari Naryan Saini, the BJP MLA from the industrial belt constituency of Nalagarh did not mince words in holding the BJP Government of chief minister of Prem Kumar Dhumal accountable for neglect of his constituency.
Much to the annoyance of the government and to thumping of desks by the opposition, Saini during question hour said that over the last three years of the nine schemes listed out as MLA priority schemes, only one road project stood sanctioned. No drinking water or minor irrigation scheme has been sanctioned, he stated.
All other schemes under execution were approved by the previous congress government and even the funds for these schemes have come from the central government, he said.
Responding to the questions raised, Dhumal said that schemes could only be sanctioned upon the availability of funds.
Road projects with Rs 70 crore NABARD funding were being executed in Nalagarh assembly segment, whereas the government was yet to allocate such funds to other areas, said the chief minister.
