Shimla: Three persons, including a baby child died in an road accident in the interiors of Shimla district while another 6 person were injured, who have be shifted to the state capital for emergency treatment.
A police spokesman said that a Maxi-cab that was going from Nerwa to Bampta, lost control near Jihkniphul in Chopal sub-division and plunged into the valley at about 2.45 p.m.
Of the ten passengers, three, namely Sukhchan (65) Bhupinder (45) and baby (9 months old) died on the spot and the seven others sustained injuries.
The vehicle (HP-01-3592) was a public carrier and the remaining seven people in the vehicle have sustained serious injuries, said the police spokesman. The injured have been shifted to IGMC hospital in Shimla, he added.
A case has been registered and the cause of the accident is being investigated, he said.
