Shimla: Amtech Power, a Gujarat based captive power equipment supplier, has set targets on the upcoming hydropower sector in Himachal by coming up with US based Basler Electric products for in the field of power generation and control, especially in making the switch from analog to digital excitation systems.
Speaking about the digital excitation and control system N Bhasker, CEO AMTECH at a technical orientation seminar here said, ‘these products are state of art infrastructure products to take care of quality and reliability.â€
Installed with the critical generating turbines equipment, he said that these digital machines helped to monitor and stabilize generating voltage, which in turn was of important for reducing generation losses he said.
Garuv Jindal, an AMTECH spokesman said, in collaboration with Basler Electric, we are supplying quality products in the country which was revolutionizing the field of captive power.
He added that Gaj Power, an Independent Power Producer (IPP) in Himachal had installed AMTECH power generation and control systems for switching from analog to digital excitation systems equipment which had resulted in improved generation.
Besides engineers from Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEB) many IPPs attended the seminar.
