Shimla: With the Himachal High court having earlier turned down union minister Virbhadra Singh’s plea for transfer of investigation in the contentious CD case to an independent agency like CBI under Article 482, he again moved the High Court today under article 226 for transferring the investigation to CBI, alleging that the state agency had not conducted a fair investigation.
Seeking transfer of the case investigation to the central agency, the petitioner has also made chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and director general police Daljit Manhas as respondents.
Alleging a bias into the investigation about the audio CD of Virbhadra Singh and his wife Pratibha Singh, in which they are allegedly heard talking about illegal money transactions in a recorded telephone conversation with a deceased bureaucrat Mohinder Lal, the petition has also placed 2 other audio CD as evidence for an unfair investigation
The material place on record, are the two CD’s that surfaced subsequently and which are purportedly said to contain recorded conversations between Dhumal and Manhas in which references to the earlier CD of Virbhadra Singh are made.
Court sources disclosed that the writ petition filed today comes up for listing on Thursday.
