Shimla: Shri Satya Sai Seva Society organized a Blood Donation camp at the Ridge in Shimla as a part of the programs to be conducted in celebration of the 85th birthday of Shri Satya Sai Baba i.e. on 23rd November.
Rain gave a cold start to the event but as the day passed the number of donors increased and total eighty-seven(87) donors donated their blood out of which seventeen (17) were females.
Ashok Sharma, Inspector General of Himachal Pradesh Police, inaugurated the event by lightening the lamps and then donating blood himself.
Other programs of the celebration include two day long workshop on village development at Shri Satya Sai School Anand Vilas, Pujarli and a state level ‘akhand kirtan’ of 85 hours from 6 pm on 30th September at Gambhir House, Fingasak.
Raised in Shimla and originally from Mandi district, Disha wears many caps which includes being part of a lead team of a fast growing IT company based out of Chandigarh. Earlier Disha was associated with My Himachal and visits Shimla regularly.
