Shimla : Dawni near Baddi in Solan district is to be developed as a new industrial area for which land has already been acquired, Kishan Kapoor, industry minister stated here today.
The minister said that the process to transfer the acquired land by the government at Dawni to the industrial development corporation was in the final stage. Plot would be allotted to entrepreneurs after being developed.
He said that plots were being allotted to investors as per their requirements so that small and large industrial units could be set up by them.
The government was providing ample facilities to the industrialists and big industrial houses were also keen to make investments in the state.
In the last two and a half years, the government had sanctioned 3157 industrial units which envisaged an investment of Rs 12,585 crore, he said.
