Shimla:A crowded vehicle that lost control and went off a hill road into a gorge, killed six people and injured another eight on Tuesday night, police said.
Four persons died on the spot whereas another two succumbed to their injuries at the district hospital in Mandi town. The injured, two of whom were serious, are being treated at the district hospital.
In a Tata Sumo vehicle where only eight persons are permitted, there were fourteen people travelling when the accident occurred, said said S Agnihotri, SP Mandi.
The accident victims were returning from a religious fair at Kamrunag when the accident occurred on the Gohar-Kanda road about 25 Kms from Mandi at about 10.45 p.m. All the victims are said to from Bharagaon village, which is near Pandoh.
