Free of a security cover, Union Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs Dr. MS Gill takes a walk down memory lane as he went for a stroll on The Ridge and The Mall, today.
Dr Gill is scheduled to inaugurate the newly laid Hockey Astroturf field at Shilarooo about 50 Kms from Shimla, on Tuesday.
Dr Gill who started out as a career bureaucrat (IAS) with his first posting as Deputy Commission of Lahaul & Spiti and after retirement went onto serve as the Chief Election Commissioner on India.
After completing his term at the election commission, he was inducted into Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s cabinet, where he is currently supervising preparations of the Commonwealth Games.
