Shimla: The Himachal cabinet today decided to lift ban on general transfers of all the categories of employees and officers in all the departments from April 16 to May 31.
Presided over chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal that cabinet decided that a minister would be competent to order transfer all classes of employees within their respective departments.
However, all department heads would have to adhere to an outer limit of transfer of their employees, which should not exceed six percent (6%) of the existing strength of concerned department.
Ban on general transfers would be re-imposed from June 1, 2010, where after no transfer or adjustments requests would be entertained, a government spokesman stated.
The cabinet approved exemption in registration fee and stamp duty on education loans upto Rs 7.50 lakhs borrowed from approved financial institutions.
