Shimla: The high level single window clearance authority that met today approved setting up of an integrated textile park at Thathal in Una district. Himachal Textile Park Ltd would be establishing state of the art textile park in Amb Tehsil of Una over 65 acres of land for which the management has proposed to invest Rs 107 crore’s, a government spokesman stated.
The authority that met with chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal in the chair also cleared 14 new industrial proposals and one expansion proposal that entail an investment of Rs 73.52 crore, he added.
Dhumal said that the proposed integrated Textile Park would provide common infrastructure and facilities for setting up of the textile units by their member units creche etc. The management of the proposed park would be investing Rs. 107 crore on the parks development where 2,200 persons would be engaged in different activities. The park was targeted to be completed by end of 2011 financial year, he said.
As uncertainty over extension of the industrial package for Himachal prevails, this was one of the last meetings of the single window authority before the excise exemptions allowed for the state expire by end of the month.
