4 yrs imprisonment for charas accused with Rs.30,000 fine in Himachal

Chamba: S.C. Kainthla special judge Chamba has convicted accused Moti Ram s/o Gangu Ram resident of village Chatrar, Jassurgarh Police Station, district Tissa, Chamba under section 20 NDPS Act. He is sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for four years and to pay a fine of rupees thirty thousand. In default of payment the convict shall further undergo RI for six month.

In this case accused was caught in possession of one kilo and 200 grams of charas by the Police on 23.3.2009 when Inspector H.C.Devraj along with other police officials was patrolling at Gunnu Nallah.

The prosecution in this case was conducted by Mohinder Singh Chouhan district attorney, Chamba.
