Shimla: Health officials disclosed that no new swine flu case has been reported in the state and the three cases that had been detected carrying the infection were under treatment and showing signs of improvement.
The officials stated that the case of a student from Alpine School, Pinjore that figured from Badsar, in Hamirpur district was an old positive contact case detected on 5th October.
The student had travelled along with the positive symptoms from Panchkula to Himachal in tehsil Ghumarwin, in Bilaspur district and later to his native village Jajri, in Badsar tehsil of Hamirpur district. The student has already been put on treatment by the Rapid Response Team (RRT) Bilaspur and was being kept under isolation at home, where he was showing improvement.
Two other cases on treatment in Solan and Bilaspur districts were showing improvement.
A medical team has visited the affected village and conducted an information, education and communication (IEC) camp, detailing the people about symptoms of Swine flu, the spokesman said.
Three persons in Himachal were reported to have contracted Swine flu and were declared positive by General Hospital, Panchkula.
The state surveillance officer had disclosed that among the three were one female teacher who belonged to Nurpur in Kangra district, one female student from Solan district and one male student from Bilaspur district.
Rapid Response Teams from the respective districts have been moved to the houses of the affected patients and the treatment have been initiated.
Chief Medical Officers of the affected districts had been alerted to take all measures to prevent the spread in conjunction with the district administration along with successful treatment of the positive patients.
