Shimla: One of the remote areas of Himachal Pradesh will be soon connected to the world with inauguration of the 61 kilometres long Ladhot-Kawar road constructed at a cost of about Rs. 27 crore on 15th June, 2009 by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal.
This road will be benefiting more than 4,500 people of Dodra, Jiskoon, Jakha, Pandar, Kinwari, Dhandarwari and Chaudhaar villages of Dodra Kawar area as revealed by Public Work Minsiter, Thakur Gulab Singh.
The 61 Km Larot-Kawar road passed through world fame Chancel pass at a height of 12600 feet and is a part of Rohru-Chirgaon-Larot-Dodra Kawar road having 92 Kms road length. The road upto Kawar has already been constructed few years back. The construction of Larot to Kawar portion was a difficult task due to hard terrain and different geographical conditions.
