Shimla: Seventy-eighty year old Hemtu Ram of Basantpur died in a fight with his brother Roopu Ram (73) over a land dispute, on Tuesday morning, police said.
District police chief RM Sharma said that Roopu Ram has been arrested and a murder case has been registered against him.
The two, who had a long pending land dispute, were holding a demarcation of their respective boundaries when at about 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning a scuffle broke out among the warring brothers, police said.
There is no body injury on Hemtu Ram and it is likely that he could have died of heart failure during the scuffle. However, only a post-mortem will reveal the cause of death, said Sharma.
