Shimla: Having assessed potential for investments in the states tourism sector, executives of Asian Development Bank after holding a meet with officials on Tuesday for projects worth Rs 360 crore are to finalise the loan modalities with economic affairs ministry later in the month.
A senior official privy to the developments said that about 60 tourism projects were discussed at the meet today. “However the final list of projects cleared are yet to be arrived at,” he said.
The ADB executives have fixed January 23 for holding a detailed discussion at Delhi with ministry of economic affairs, where state officials to would be present, said the official.
The ADB funding is to take up various tourism related project worth about Rs 360 crore, he disclosed.
The executives of the international funding agency, other than holding discussions with the state officers also visited many of sites last week that are being put up for funding purposes to improve infrastructure and enhance their tourism value.
