Shimla: With investigators not seeking extension of police remand of arrested bureaucrat Subhash Ahluwalia in a disproportionate asset case, the presiding judge sent the accused into judicial lockup for two weeks. He is to be produced before the court again on 3rd November.
Earlier the defense counsel put in an application for withdrawal of an earlier bail plea that was to be heard on Monday, on the pretext the a bail application in the same case had been moved before the High Court which was listed to be heard on Wednesday.
Allowing the withdrawal of the earlier bail plea, the court ordered it as dismissed as withdrawn.
