Shimla: Apollo hospitals has tied up with Tara Hospital, Shimla for providing specialized healthcare facilities in the city, Anil K Menni, director Apollo hospitals disclosed here.
He said that their specialist doctors by providing services here would save a lot of trouble for patients having to visit Delhi for the purpose. Initially the services that will be made available would be related spinal problems, neurology, cancer treatments and heart diseases, he said.
Making a foray into providing specialist services to rural area, the Apollo group has targeted to deliver services in 250 hospitals of which in the first phase 25 such hospitals have been picked out, said Menni.
NL Kaundal, director Tara Hospital said that there would be no increase in OPD service charges for the specialist service that would be made available. The facility would benefit the state residents, he added.
