Shimla: On World Tourism Day, chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal would flag of the the 4th Mountain Biking Event-MB- Himachal- 2008 from here. The nine day adventure sport would cover 680 kilometres of hard gruelling track spread over nine days.
This year about 82 International and National cyclists are expected to participate in the event, out of which six are women participants, said Manisha Nanda secretary tourism.
The cyclist after starting out from Hotel Peterhoff on 27th September would cross Mashobra Baikahlti, Fagu, Cheog, Sainj, Gumma , Karali, Reyoghatti Bahali, Dofda, Nirmand, Kullu-Sarahan, Nither, Ani, Bagsaad, Pandoh, Bijli Mahadev, Naggar and would culminate on October 6 at Manali, disclosed Nanda.
The event was being organised by Himalayan Adventure Sports and Tourism Promotion Association Shimla (HASTPA) with financial and administrative support from Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, said Nanda.
