Shimla: Landslides caused by heavy rains in the region are threatening to bury 3 Bilaspur villages, residents of which have been evacuated to safer places, district police officials say.
Additional superintendent police Bimal Gupta said, resident of the three villages, Sual, Matloh and Kutehla, under Swarghat sub-division have been moved to safer places as landslides are threatening to bury them.
He said that 6 houses in Sual have already suffered total damage, while 25 houses in Matloh and another 7 houses in Kutehla are on the path of the landslides occurring there.
About 250 people had been moved to safer government buildings on Monday and the people from Matloh village were moved out on Tuesday, said Gupta.
The displaced people were being looked after by the district administration, he said.
