Shimla: Educomp Solutions, an education company, today launched its Smart_Classâ„¢, a learning technology, in Himachal after it was installed in one of the reputed school here.
PC Dhiman, principal secretary education today inaugurated the newly digitized classroom at Auckland House School, one of the oldest girls boarding schools in the country.

The program empowers teachers with technology right inside their classrooms. it enables teachers to use digital resources such as graphics, animations, 3 D Images and Video clips in addition to the chalk and talk methods of teaching in their day to day teaching life. This results in a completely new multi sensory learning experience for students and helps them to improve their academic performance, said Saxena.
Speaking on the occasion, Sunita John, principal of the school founded by the British in 1866 said, “It is a matter of pride to introduce children to Smart_Class, a sophisticated technology program that enhances the teaching-learning process in the classrooms.â€
Currently installed in close to 1200 schools across the country, Smart_Class from Educomp is the first of its kind digital initiative for schools and is credited with improving teacher effectiveness and productivity, bringing abstract and difficult curriculum concepts to life, making learning an enjoyable experience for students, enabling multi-sensory learning in classrooms, improving academic performance of students and enabling instant assessment of learning outcomes in class.
