Dhumal to ask P.M for sanctioning of 20,000 more DTH Receive Systems

Prem Kumar Dhumal, the Chief Minister has taken up the issue of sanctioning of 20,000 more DTH Receive Systems for the tribal areas of the State with Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India.

In a letter written to the Prime Minister, Dhumal thanked the Government of India for providing 20,000 DTH Receive Systems for the tribal areas of the state in view of tough topography and positioning of these areas along the International Border.

Dhumal further urged for more DTH Receive Systems so as to fulfill the additional demand of Kinnaur and other tribal areas of the state. He further said that with the installation of more DTH Receive Systems in these difficult areas, every household in the tribal areas of the state would have access to all the Doordarshan and A.I.R channels being aired, which would go a long way in connecting the people of these areas to the mainstream.
