Looters strike Nalagarh again

KUMARHATTI: Close on the heels of a looting case in New Nalagarh colony near Nalagarh last week, the looters again struck the colony in the wee hours of this morning and looted 2.30 lakhs from the office of Aradhana Wine Industries.

The three people, whose faces were covered, knocked at the door of office at around 2.30 am. Randeep Singh, the Assistant Manager in Industries and another employee, Hari Chand who were sleeping inside the office didn’t open the door sensing something was wrong. The looters then broke the door.

The looters who were carrying a pistol asked the duo to open the Manager’s room. They started beating them with cricket wickets lying inside the room after they refused to honor their demand. After thrashing them badly the looters also broke up on the Manager office’s door. They took 2.30 lakhs lying in a box which was the daily collection from liquor shops. The looters were appeared to be locals and well aware of everything inside the office.

Mr. Sanjeev Lakhanpal, DSP, Nalagarh said that the police teams have been dispatched to various locations to nab the looters. The vigil on all roads leading outside the state has also been enhanced, he asserted.
