P.K. Dhumal, the Chief Minister said that the state government would shift more departments to Bilaspur in order to provide administrative infrastructure. A budget of 43.45 crores would be spent on the construction of roads and bridges in Bilaspur while the state government would take consider exempting stamp duty on agro produce.
Three Agro Produce Marketing Collection Centers are being considered to be opened to facilitate the farmers in Bilaspur as well while headquarters of the 1st Women IRB in the district has already started being constructed. He further said that Kot-Kehloor was emerging as leader in promoting poly house culture while stating that agriculture scientists had been directed to visit farmers and motivate them to adopt modern cultivation methods.
