Shimla: BR Rahi, the former chairman of HP School Education Board has denied any role in the fake certificate which former minister Singhi Ram’s daughter Umpa Kashyap allegedly produced for securing admission into Lady Shri Ram College in Delhi, sources in the vigilance department told My Himachal News.
The source revealed that the investigating team was likely to question six other employees of the school education board.
Rahi reported to the vigilance department in the afternoon for questioning in the fake certificate case.
He was summoned by the police for questioning as former minister Singhi Ram during interrogation had reportedly claimed that the plus 2 certificate, which his daughter had was not fake and it had been given to him by the former chairman of the school education board.
He is also reported to told the investigation team that Rahi had taken back the certificate and had not returned it.
The vigilance department has already registered a forgery case against Singhi Ram and the former minister fearing arrest has obtained an interim bail in the matter
