KUMARHARTTI: A health team comprising officials from central and district health departments today sealed two ultrasound centers at Nalagarh. The centers were sealed after it found violating the norms of PNDT Act (Pre-Natal Diagnostic Technique Act).
The team including Mr. K. Singh, Director, Mr. Rajvir Singh, Deputy Director and Mr. M.K. Sharma, Legal Advisor all from center along with Mr. Shriniwas Sharma, CMO Solan first raided Akash Ultrasound. The team found serious discrepancies in center’s paper record. The most of documents were not found accordingly. Hence the team decided to seal the center.
Later team reached at Gagan Nursing Home. Here the records were again not completed. The managements of both centers have instructed by team to up date their documents at the earliest.
While confirming the development, Mr. Shriniwas Sharma said that the decisions to seal the centers were taken to check the rampant violations of PNDT Act. Meanwhile raids would continue in coming days also.
