Shimla: Today, Himachal Chief Minister Prof.Prem Kumar Dhumal revealed that the Bamsan-Lagwalti Lift Water Supply Scheme will soon be dedicated to the people of Bamsan-Mewa and adjoining areas. He said this while talking to repoters at Awahdevi in district Hamirpur after inspecting the Scheme.
He said that State Government will examine all the related aspects to ensure that quality material was used for construction of the scheme and technically it was up to the standard so that the scheme is long lasting and beneficial for the people of the area.
He also said that the Government will reiterate the pending timber distribution case in the Hon’ble High Court and make best efforts to get the ban vacated for the benefit of stakeholders all over the State.
Further he said that Rs. 22 crore will be spent on the construction of Hamirpur Bye-Pass to ease the traffic congestion in the district Headquarter and the process to complete the codal formalities was already going on and the work was likely to start in near future.
He also assured the people that they would procure funds from the Government of India to develop the religious sanctity of Awahdevi temple to facilitate the devotees.
