On behalf of the corporation the award was received by HK Sharma, chairman-cum-managing director (CMD) that was given away Haryana Governor AR Kidwai and PN Bhagwati a former chief justice of the Supreme Court at a function in Delhi.
Institute of Directors (IOD) had adjudged SJVN for the award in their 18th World Congress on Total Quality, recently.

For safe disposal of the about Thirty Lakh Cubic Meter of muck that is likely to be generated from the Rampur Hydro Electric Project’s underground works, the company has already designated four sites with appropriate retaining walls and terracing along the contours for the proper restoration and stabilization.
According to JK Sharma, director (Civil) the award is for meeting the parameters and excellent and environmental friendly policies adopted by SJVNL for proper dumping of muck and its rehabilitation.
