State to get Industrial Package extended upto 2013: Dhumal

Shimla: Himachal Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal revealed today that state government will get the Industrial Package, approved for the state, extended up to its original year of 2013. He said this to the Vice Chairman M.B.Goyal of Himachal Drug Manufacturers Association.

This extension was also talked about with Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, when he had paid a courtesy call to Dhumal after taking oath of the office of Chief Minister, said Dhumal. He said that the state government will vigorously be pursue the matter at the appropriate level to get it decided in favour of the state. He said that Himachal Pradesh was poised to emerge the favourite destination for industrial investment as eminent multinational companies were coming forward to invest in the state.

He also said that every industrial area will get uninterrupted power and water supply, sewerage and municipal services besides good governance, law and order conditions so that industrialists are facilitated. He advised industrialists to incorporate the provisions of housing to their workers so as to improve the efficiency of the workers as well as create a congenial industrial environment; moreover, he assured entrepreneurs that their interests were going to be safe in his government’s hands and better industrial results can be achieved with mutual cooperation.
