Himachal Govt. to formulate PTA Policy

Shimla: State Government is soon looking forward to formulate an uniform policy over the appointment of Parent Teachers Association (PTAs) deployed in different educational institutions of the Himachal within next two months and will implement it in order to protect the interests of the teachers after taking all related aspects into consideration, said the Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal while addressing the members of PTA association headed by its President Vivek Mehta, here today.

He also said that the decision to carry recruitment on 50 percent batchwise and 50 percent direct for all the professional vacancies had already been taken for implementation in principle. He said that merit and seniority would be given due weightage and recruitment will be carried in a transparent manner.

While talking about the earlier Virbhadra Singh’s Government, Prof. Dhumal said that former’s government had thrown away all the norms to the winds regarding the recruitments to various categories including PTA, PAT, Grameen Vidya Upasak, Panchayat Sahayak and Panchayat Takniki Sahayak.
